Here we go then my 5th and final show

This show was going to be so different for me as I had my hubby with me seeing his 1st ever TT show. We caught the train Wed morning to London and then got a train over to Wembley where we were staying overnight. The streets were already starting to get busy. When we arrived in our hotel room I could see the stadium from the window and started feeling excited, worried (about what Dean would think) and emotional knowing this was to be my last Circus show.

We headed over to the stadium later than normal as the heat was just so unbearable and I knew our seats would be facing the sun. We we're in the 2nd tier almost at the back but the view of the whole stage was brilliant. I knew they'd be really far away so had prepared myself to be watching on the screens a fair bit. Gary Go & James Morrison were as fab as usual but with the sun still facing us I kept having to pop back inside to cool down.

The whole show was brilliant and I saw things i'd not noticed before. The stage lighting looked fab across the whole stadium and it was so nice just to stand and watch the whole show rather than just the lads themselves. The only downside was the screens were out of sync to them singing and the microphones were so loud that it was hard to understand what they were saying in places. Jason refused to drop his pants this time even though the crowd were chanting again. I even managed to get Deans arms in the air for NF which is a miricale lol.

Highlights

Seeing the show from a different view, straight on to the stage rather than the side. (Although you can't beat being in front of the B stage)

Gary doing his medley again.

The balloon being back....at last!!

Gary looking sexy as anything during RMF and his tongue FFS I almost wet myself!!

During RTW I was singing with tears streaming down my face - I couldn't believe that was it, my last show

The thousands of people trying to get out at the end of the show was mad. The train queue and traffic was horrendous. I was glad I was staying within a few hundred yards of the stadium. The stadium seemed alot more organised than any other venue and there were loos and staff everywhere. The train queues seemed really organised although busy but I wouldn't advise anyone to drive and park at the stadium.

All I can say now is role on the next tour

What can I say only wow!! Myself and my friend Pam arrived at the stadium around 1.30. There were several different queues leading in. We got into our queue and there were a few hundred people ahead of us. I hadn’t a good feeling bout getting a good spot at all! It was baking hot, approximately 32c but we drank lots of water to keep ourselves hydrated didn’t want to miss anything by passing out! The queue kept moving every few minutes and when i asked a security guard why he said it was because it was getting squashed at the front so they moved people to a separate area! The queue were just held in place by construction tape and I was dreading 4 oclock coming cos I thought it would just be a free for all! We killed time by getting food at the snacks available in the area! Theres was plenty of water readily supplied!
When four o clock finally arrived the security worked it by only letting a few groups in a time, there was no running allowed at all! There wasnt a chance to run! Instead of someone scanning your ticket it need to be placed in a scanned machine which in turn opened a turnstile! I swear my hands were shaking! Thought id never get a good spot and was so afraid we would end up miles back! As soon as you got through the turnstile then it was a bag search! I was getting really anxious at this stage! Once that was over we were directed to the entrance on the pitch which was lined with even more security, if you even attempted a fast walk you were told to slow down! Once I got a view of the pitch it took my breath away! It looked amazing! And even better to see there was spots at the bstage! I grabbed Pam and was so excited! All I could say was ‘Front row bstage!’ over and over again! We ‘strolled’ over to get our spot as yet again the route was lined with security! I can’t describe the elation when we got our spot and sat down at the barrier! I think we had lost about 2 stone in sweat at this stage! The heat was incredible! I met Catherine down at the stage too and it was great to see a familiar face! We were so excited when she pointed out that were standing right where Gary came down the steps!! The security guards were really good handing us water with ICE in it! I have to say Wembley is fantastic! Ive never been to a gig where theres no queue for the loos an endless supply of toilet roll, expensive soaps and hand creams! The place was spotless!! It was like a hotel!
The stadium seemed to block out the sun on the pitch totally by around seven o clock which was good! Still hot though! Gary Go and James Morrison were great but I thought show time would never arrive! Excitement started building around 8.15 when the cloud clowns started coming out with their balloons! I finally got a balloon from one of them yay!! Pam had never seen the show and I really dunno how I kept my mouth shut! Shes always been a big fan but between one thing or another she never really made it to gigs! I love seeing peoples reactions! When the music box music started the place erupted! It felt like my first time too as it had been that long since croker! When the balloons were let go to revels the lads in they’re glory we just lost it! Pam was bawling as she really hadn’t expected them to be that close!! I was close to tears myself! They really seemed in great form! Jason was loving it more than I had ever seen! Flirting endlessly!! Lip licking and hip swivelling right in front of us sending the place into a frenzy!
During ‘Hello’ Gary came down and shook our hands twice!! Pam nearly lost it as he was always her fave!! Tears again!! Woo-hoo! Howard was so fierce! I swear he gets better each time I see him!! Hes great for crowd interaction! All it needed was a shout of his name and he smile down or wink at us!! Waaaaahhhhh!!
I had bought a poncho for Back for Good, I was looking forward to a little soaking to cool me down! I think most people were thinking the same as not many bought ponchos! When the water started it took our breaths away! It was really strong and there was no breeze so we got the full force of it! My hair got wet and feet were soaked but I didn’t mind cos it helped cool us down! As soon as BFG was over I took mine off as it was really warm and got my camera out for Nelly’s appearance in The Garden! Next thing I knew ‘BAM!’ I was hit full force in the face by a wall of water!! People really weren’t expecting it at all!! Luckily I got my camera away in time! I was soaked to my underwear!! Rivulets of water blinding me but I didn’t care!! I looked around and everyone was absolutely drenched but everyone was just laughing about it! Think were just glad of the cooling off!!
I was so sad to see the boys leaving us to head to the main stage but so looking forward to the ‘band’ section! There was plenty of banter with the lads this time! They really seemed to have settled into it! Gary was stirring it by trying to get Jay to drop trousers and despite the chants of the crowd he kept them on! Think he was waiting for Lisa to be there!! Lol!! Like Sharon mentioned when they got to the main stage there seemed to be an echo in the stadium! The sound seemed to bounce back or something and I think Jay found it hard to hear during Wooden Boat because the sound was stripped back and it was just basically him and his guitar! ‘What is Love’ was emotional as usual!! I really love this!! I love the ‘boyband ‘section and Howard and Jason are really confident on those unicycles now!!
Never Forget and Patience were class! They brought out John Shanks to play guitar during Patience! Re-light is a spectacular! I couldn’t take my eyes off Ciaran during this!! Hes fit!! Gary was so Loving the whip! He was pulling these mad faces and at one point seductively licked his lips! I thought Catherine was gonna pass out!! Hold up a Light and RTW were fantastic and I was so sad to see it end!! I don’t know how Ill cope on Sunday!!
When we left and saw the queues for the tube we nearly died!! I looked like the start of a marathon! A massive sea of people all heading in the one direction! I thought we would be there all night! Man kept coming over the PA system to tell us to have ‘a little patience’ and surprisingly we never stopped once! After about 10 mins we walked straight onto a train!! Amazing!!
I cant stress enough how brilliantly run and organised the staff were at Wembley! They really made it a great experience for everyone!
I cant wait to head back for more Wembley action!! Sorry know I rambled on there!! Is it time to go?!?! Huh? Is it?!!!
I really should be catching up with work at the minute but there’s more important things like daydreaming bout the lads!!
